Devoted to Christ

This can be one of the more difficult questions non-believers may ask a Christian. Here are a few pointers and tips of what the bible has to offer us.

• The bible declares that the earth is in a form of a circle. People have always thought the earth was square and flat. Job 26:10 He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters. At the boundary of light and darkness.
• Scientist have always tried to count the stars; and they have concluded that there are 100 billion to 70 sextillion (<-- such a word? yes!) stars! Science cannot count the stars or the number of sand.

  - Jeremiah 33:22
  “As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.”

  - Isaiah 51:13
  “(God) Who stretched out the heavens. And laid the foundations of the earth;”

• God did not give us the book for science; it’s a book of redemption.
• Bible declares the future hundreds of times and has come true.
• It’s confirmed by archeologist, the bible is true. The stone of Pontius Pilat has been recently found. Watch YouTube video.
• There are 66 books written by 40 authors whom were kings, scholars, and ordinary men inspired by God and empowered by the holy spirit. 2 Peter 1:20-21 – 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God[b] spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
• The bible is true because it gave me the experience it claimed to give me. <-- Speaking from my personal experience.

We can study Bible prophecy all day long and get excited about it, but if it isn’t impacting in the way that we live, then we’re simply missing the point. In 1 John 3:

“What we know is that when Christ is openly revealed, we’ll see him – and in seeing him, become like him.”

This comes to a much more greater understanding when you combine this knowledge and the Holy Spirit within you. When you have this “power” of understanding (see Acts 1:8 – But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me) you will have the power of knowing Jesus in telling others about him. So go and seek his face knowing that you have the power of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to go about your life fulfilled.

One of the God’s trademarks is that He predicts the future with incredible accuracy. He is ommicient – He knows everything.

Awesome experience today. The Holy Spirit was definitely in that place!

The bible was written so long ago depicting our future. When you’re a believer, things begin to unravel in front of your eyes! Interesting happenings are occurring people. Be on the watch, and be on your guard, and be prepared!

Matthew 24:3-8 “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all[a]these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.
— John 19:30

The cross was the goal of Jesus from the very beginning. His birth was so there would be His death. The incarnation was for our atonement. He was born to die so that we might live. And when He had accomplished the purpose He had come to fulfill, He summed it up with a single word: “finished.” (tetelestye!)

Also finished was Satan’s stronghold on humanity. Jesus came to deal a decisive blow against the devil and his demons at the cross of Calvary. Hebrews 2:14 says, “Only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.” This means that you no longer have to be under the power of sin. Because of Jesus’ accomplishment at the cross, finished was the stronghold of Satan on humanity.

And lastly, finished was our salvation. It is completed. It is done. All of our sins were transferred to Jesus when He hung on the cross. His righteousness was transferred to our account.

So Jesus cried out the words, “It is finished!” It was God’s deliberate and well-thought-out plan. It is finished—so rejoice!
