by Michael Serna on Jul.22, 2010, under Events, Greg Laurie

Very blessed tonight at Harvest.

Good night everyone!

Interesting day with weird temptations and feelings of principalities of the world. But ended with blessing and the spirit of the Lord in my heart and soul.

Blessed are those whom are Persecuted

by Michael Serna on Apr.24, 2010, under Devotion

Now there are many Christians out there who tend to freely reach out to people with the gospel. And that’s awesome! Whether the person receives the word of God with open arms or reject-fully, it is something that has been accomplished for our sake and for God’s glory; not our own glory. For we do this upon righteousness’ sake. Not for our “own” self-righteousness. The righteous one will always be our God Almighty.

Now check this out. This is a piece of scripture from what is considered the greatest preaching ever told by Jesus.

Matthew 5:10-12 NKJV

10God blesses those people who are treated badly for doing right. They belong to the kingdom of heaven.

11God will bless you when people insult you, mistreat you, and tell all kinds of evil lies about you because of me. 12 Be happy and excited! You will have a great reward in heaven. People did these same things to the prophets who lived long ago.

Verse 11 – “God will bless you when people insult you.” Yes, this is something you can expect proclaiming the gospel. No matter who you preach it in front, you will get this result of people trying to pull you down.

“Don’t let people tell you what you can’t do.” That’s a quote from Chris Gardner played by Will Smith in the movie, “The Pursuit of Happyness.” For being happy is being blessed.

Continue reading verse 11 –>, “For great is your reward in heaven.” Read that rest of the entire verse and you will see that I myself have been thinking of proclaiming the gospel. Life as we know it and hear it, is short. I’m no prophet, but I just want to tell people the truth of how to live our life. We can’t control how long we live, but we can make it a full life. Live life to the fullest to those who have the ability to communicate the gospel. That is what Jesus Christ did. That is what God wants us to do. Use your talents wisely and choose what and who you want to use that talent for!

Here is what it comes down to. We can take as many classes as we want on how to share our faith. We can memorize verses. We can prepare ourselves. But unless we have a God-given burden for unbelievers, it won’t matter.

Hosanna

by Michael Serna on Apr.06, 2010, under Video

Hosanna is the cry of praise or adoration shouted in recognition of the Messiahship of Jesus on his entry into Jerusalem, Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! It is used in the same way in Christian praise.
