Rewards and Treasures Granted in Heaven
by Michael Serna on Mar.31, 2010, under Devotion
I just downloaded and installed the new Macsword for Mac. Here are a couple scriptures of what we can receive from heaven.
Matthew 6:19: Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Matthew 6:20: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Matthew 6:21: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Luke 12:33: Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
Luke 19:17: And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
Revelation of John 2:26: And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Revelation of John 2:27: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Revelation of John 2:28: And I will give him the morning star.
God keeps a record in heaven of what people do on Earth, both in unbelievers and believers. We know that the deeds all account for when we reach the final judgement upon the seat of Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:10 – For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.)

We know Billy one way or another, such a popular figure. Though weak in body, he has such a strong heart and will. God bless ‘em!
Easter
by Michael Serna on Mar.29, 2010, under Devotion, Prayer
Easter is not about brightly colored eggs or enjoying a big meal, although it could include these. Easter is about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I have never seen a bunny lay eggs. I’m not sure the origin of how this became to be. How can a story nearly 2,000 years ago be converted into something totally different such as egg hunting and egg coloring?
UPDATE:
I found a link to what the easter bunny is all about. Click here and find out. I also typed in “easter” on google’s image search and this is what it generated.
Easter has been outweighed and perhaps redefined by many of our younger people. Probably school children and grade school teachers will focus their attention on easter bunnies and colorful eggs. I will be keeping an eye out on facebook and see what my generation is doing. It will be interesting. But easter as we should know is the death and rise of Jesus Christ. The only man to have died and live again. After all in John 11:25 Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life.” You can read the rest and see what he says. It’s pretty awesome and at the same time, speaks to our conscience.
… I hope to bring someone this week to redefine what easter is really about. Pray for me that I will!

More Saved
by Michael Serna on Mar.26, 2010, under Greg Laurie
Last night my family and I noticed more people accepting Christ. Seeing people get up and walk forward is one of the most beautiful things I can ever see in this world. I hope to invite some friends over during the easter week as we all know, Christ died on his cross to redeem us of our sins.
I’ll be going on a road trip tomorrow and will be filling up my iPod with some Christians hits. Hmm what to fill up with?
Temptation
by Michael Serna on Mar.24, 2010, under Devotion
Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.
— James 1:14–15 NLT
Sometimes we get so caught up in the world, that we forget what our priority and focus in life is. That is to glorify God and receive our place in heaven. Not based on things what we do here earthly, but also what we can do that glorifies the will of God.
What can stop us from doing so? Temptation. Temptation is one of the most deceitful and most appealing diversions of our Christian life. It takes us out of place. Temporarily, at least for a short period of time, subjects us to sinful thinking and sinful doing.
The best thing I would do? Is just get out. Don’t even mess with it. Something I’ve been doing all my life, and I got to admit, temptation does get appealing because it’s something you can get away with here on earth … but keeps us away from heaven. Don’t do it. Don’t think it. And don’t even try. Temptation can tear us apart from our Christian life.

Free from Sin (Physically)
by Michael Serna on Mar.23, 2010, under Devotion
Romans 7:24 NLT
24 Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?
The scripture above exemplifies the fact that as when we die as Christians from our earthly bodies, we are leaving sin and death behind; therefore our bodies being decayed or burned away. In result, we transition to heaven in our heavenly bodies and receive the power of having eternal life. Forever being in our strengthen bodies rather in a weak and dying bodies.
2012
by Michael Serna on Mar.22, 2010, under Film

I gotta say this movie was extremely well done. Mother nature and urban city living being destroyed was brought to reality in this movie. And it was done very well. I liked the story as a movie. In real life, what can we say? It’s something we can’t control as far as the forces of nature is concerned, but we can control our own faith. And that faith is believing in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For if your life is taken, you will life in eternity in heaven. Let’s make it our goal!
A “Physical” (spiritual) Heaven?
by Michael Serna on Mar.22, 2010, under Devotion
I guess some people often think that Heaven is a place of spiritual “good” when in fact the bible, (book of revelation) describes what’s in store for heaven. I know heaven as real as city, God prepares a mansion for us, and God prepares a feast for us. But what more can God have in store for us in place so good yet so complex for something people to understand. Here are a few passages from the bible that we can look forward to.
Revelation 7:9 NKJV
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
We can look to wearing clothing.
Revelation 8:6 NKJV
6 So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
We can look to hearing musical instruments. After all, there is praise and worship.
2 Kings 2:11, Revelation 19:14 NKJV
11 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.
14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
We look for horses.
Revelation 8:13 NKJV
13 As I watched, I heard an eagle that was flying in midair call out in a loud voice: “Woe! Woe! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the trumpet blasts about to be sounded by the other three angels!”
We can see eagles soaring.
