February New Books!
by Michael Serna on Jan.30, 2010, under Books, Greg Laurie

Received some new books today. I love Greg Laurie’s clarification and his doctrine to how God should be approached. Of course, the primary word is from the bible as it should. Also, considering I’m a web geek, I got some books on improving the way I build websites. Elements that are the gift of God that I use for everyday commission unto His glory! Thank you Amazon.com!
Children’s Ministry
by Michael Serna on Jan.30, 2010, under Events, Video, Web
This is a video I mocked up last night for today’s Children’s Open House Event. What a blessing our Children must become because they will be in the front-line one day. Remember to “train up a child.” –> As it says in the bible, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6 KJV)
How to gain Eternal Life
by Michael Serna on Jan.30, 2010, under Devotion
Eternal Life, no this ain’t no “fountain of youth” hoax or anything like that. This is real stuff my friends. And if you’re a bit interested in gaining this privilege from God, read below. Remember to love yourself in order to love one another before thinking about receiving the Kingdom of God.
1 John 2:24-25 NLT
“24 So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. 25 And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us.”
Titus 1:2 NLT
“This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God-who does not lie-promised them before the world began.”
Which one is YOU?
by Michael Serna on Jan.29, 2010, under Devotion
Romans 12:6-8 NLT
… if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
There are a lot of ways to serve and show God that you are a very much indeed a person of good faith and good works. There are many ways to lead others to Christ and lead yourself to heaven. Which one is YOU? See above and you may find out you may be one of these or more. If you are, you are going in the right direction! Do we have to do one of these? YES. It’s not a request, it’s a command that we do so!

Workin’ up another Photo Video Montage
by Michael Serna on Jan.26, 2010, under Prayer, Video
I’m once again working up another photo video montage for the church. This time will be dedicated to the children ministry of my church. Will be short and to the point. God, grant me the strength to send a message to the parents of the children!
Bible Study : “Salvation” Part I
by Michael Serna on Jan.26, 2010, under Devotion
1. How does the Bible describe sin?
See I John 3:4
2. What is the result of sin?
See Romans 6:23 and James 1:15
To better understand the effects of sin, think of death as SEPARATION.
A. Spiritual death — Your sins have separated you from God.
B. Physical death — It separates the spirit and soul from the body.
C. Eternal death — If you remain lost in your sins, they will separate you from the mercy of God forever.
To be righteous means “to do right: to be totally innocent before God in regards to obeying His commandments.”
3. How many of us are righteous?
See Romans 3:10
Concerning the Love of $Money$
by Michael Serna on Jan.25, 2010, under Devotion
5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,”Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrew 13:5 NLT
In our modern society, we need money to live. But as Christians, we must never make the acquisition of money the central focus of our lives. Money is a tool, but it should never overwhelm our sensibilities. The focus of life must be squarely on things spiritual, not things material.
Whenever we place our love for material possessions above our love for God-or when we yield to the countless other temptations of everyday living-we find ourselves engaged in a struggle between good and evil, a clash between God and Satan. Our responses to these struggles have implications that echo throughout our families and throughout our communities. Let us choose wisely by freeing ourselves from the subtle yet powerful temptation; the temptation to love the world more than we love God.
